Competition Obedience  Group and private lessons are available to prepare dogs for AKC competition at the novice, open, and utility level.
Companion Obedience  Group and private lessons are available to teach good manners to family companions.
Canine Good Citizen   Class sessions to prepare your dog for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. A CGC Test will be available at the end of the class.
Rally Obedience  Rally is a fun class for both dog and handler. Rally is an ideal transition from CGC work to formal obedience.
Agility  Agility is perhaps the most fun you can have with your dog. Our classes emphasize safety and motivation. All equipment meets competition specifications. Check out the Photo Gallery for pictures of this fun sport.
AKC S.T.A.R.
Puppy
AKC S. T. A. R. Puppy is the ideal headstart program for your new family member. Pups learn basic manners and owners learn problem prevention and basic care. The motivational techniques used prepare the puppy to be an eager learner.
Behavior Modification  Private sessions are available to develop programs to change and improve undesired behaviors.

All classes are taught using positive reinforcement techniques with the emphasis on clicker training by an instructor with over 25 years of experience. Not all classes are offered each session but private instruction can be arranged to suit the needs of both you and your dog. You can look at the schedule of classes to see what is being offered each session.

DIRECTIONS:

From the east on I-66: Take exit 43A and follow Rt. 29 south through Gainesville. Continue on for about 5 miles to a traffic light at Rt. 600 (Beverly's Mill Road). Continue through the traffic light and make the next right on Rt. 674 (Old Alexandria Pike). **Go 1/2 mile and the road forks. Bear to the right. Rt. 674 is now called Georgetown Road. We are about 1 1/2 miles down on the left. 6156 Georgetown Road.

From the west on I-66: Take exit 31 The Plains. At the end of the off ramp turn left and follow the road about 2 miles into The Plains. At the stop sign in The Plains turn right on Rt. 55. Go about 5 miles and Rt. 55 will pass under I-66 and become a divided road. Just after the road divides turn right on Rt. 674. Go 1/2 mile and Rt. 674 makes a left. Turn left and follow Rt. 674 about 3 miles. You will cross a bridge. We are the property on the right just after the bridge. 6156 Georgetown Road.

From Warrenton: Go north on Rt. 29 to New Baltimore. Just past the New Baltimore Fire Station there is a flashing yellow light warning you of a traffic light 1/2 mile ahead. Just past this flashing light is a left turn lane for Rt. 674. Turn left and follow directions above after the **.
